Aristolochia ringens is an unusual fast growing woody vine with strange but ornate purplish flowers. Quick growing to 20 or 30ft, and cool hardy down to just above frost level. It does well in low light conditions and therefore can be grown indoors or in conservatories. The pretty flowers will sometimes have a smelly fragrance, but the scent doesn't drift from the flower and grows well in pots.
