This vine comes from South America and is a superb species that climbs to six or eight feet, and bears beautifil dense umbels of red and reddish-yellow, tubular bell-shaped flowers. In full bloom this plant is spectacular and can be grown as a conservatory pot plant but best in a sunny greenhouse or conservatory border. Quite cool tolerant down to only a few degrees centigrade so tropical winter heat not required.
