From South America, a member of the sunflower family and close relative of yacon. One to try in a jungle garden – grows rapidly and could reach 5ft+ at the end of it’s first year from an early sowing. Borderline hardy – best kept frost free when smaller or take cuttings to overwinter indoors as an insurance policy.
