From the Himalayas, this is a particularly spectacular form of the voodoo lily with larger flowers and leaves than the standard form. The leaves can be up 50cms across and the flowers are a deep purplish black with a very distinct aroma designed to attract flies! Prefers a humus rich soil in partial shade. Once a good size, it can be left outdoors in milder spots, ideally with a mulch to protect it.
