Agapanthus africanus is a stunning violet blue lily from South Africa which has large heads of clear blue umbels carried high over a mound of dark green strap like leaves. Africanus is a larger plant and not frost hardy below about -5˚C, so best suited to growing in containers and keeping frost free.
