Persicaria orientalis is an unusual giant annual and a relative of our native bistort. It can grow to more than 2m tall in ideal conditions From September onwards the curving fishing rod stems are spectacularly draped in long pink tassels. Becoming more popular recently but still rarely seen. Will need stratification to germinate.
