Apple mint is a lovely, aromatic herb with many fantastic culinary, medicinal and decorative properties. Reaching about 2 feet at maturity, apple mint plants have woolly stems, fragrant serrated leaves and terminal spikes that bear white or light pink flowers beginning in late summer or early fall. Dried apple mint leaves are a delicious used for a warm tea but use fresh leaves for a fragrant dessert topping, or for salads and apple mint dressings.
