Brugmansia sanguinea aurea is a small shrub (typically from 1.2 to 3.6 metres) from Peru and the Andes. It has leaves of around 17cm and flowers of up to 30cm long that in this form are all yellow/gold. Easily grown from seed but can take two to three years to flower. Well worth the wait though and in ideal conditions should flower in the second year. Cuttings are hard to take so seed is the best option for this plant. It likes cool conditions and therefore ideally suited to planting outdoors during or relatively cool summers.
