Known as the Mexican lily, a large architectural plant with broad sword shaped powdery blue leaves forming rosettes of up to 1.2 metres across. Can be hardy in the mildest parts of the UK if situated in a sunny well drained spot. Yellow green flowers surrounded by red bracts are formed on arching stems.
