From South America, the (almost) hardy tapioca plant. One of the very best plants for a jungle garden, with truly spectacular foliage. Germination can be quite tricky and erratic. Plants will take a bit of frost when a good size, but haven't proved to be reliably hardy for us, so best to bring undercover for the winter unless in a warm almost frost free location.
