The fruits of the Red Malaysian guava are somewhat larger than many other guavas, reaching over 8cms in diameter. When ripe they are a deep red colour, highly aromatic and less sour than usual for guavas. Best grown in a container in a sunny spot and brought undercover when young. Mature plants can take a light frost now and again, but probably best not to risk it.
