From South East Asia, the Giant Taro is a truly spectacular aroid, with its "elephant ear" leaves reaching over 2 metres in its native habitat. It prefers plenty of heat and humidity during the summer months and will respond well to regular feeding. As it is not frost hardy, it's best to overwinter in a frost free spot - it can be brought indoors as a houseplant. If it's kept in cooler conditions, only water sparingly during the winter months until it is in active growth again.
