From Yunnan in China, this is one of the smaller species of banana, growing to only around 2 metres. It flowers quickly for a banana, and the fruits are edible but packed full of seeds. Well worth a try as a container plant where it will quickly clump up. Not hardy, so will need to be brought undercover and given some heat during the winter months.
