From New Zealand, this is one of those plants that you either love or hate! The leathery spine tipped leaves on younger plants are up to 60cm long and are downward pointing. On mature plants the leaves no longer point downwards and are palmate forming a rounded ball. Should be hardy in all but the coldest of locations in the UK. Works really well as a contrast in a jungle style garden.
