Musa ornata are small banana plants native to India and S. E. Asia that grow to 2.7m and are similar to Velutina. The plant will stay smaller though when pot grown. Nice lavender inflorescence opening to yellow -orange flowers that yield to pink non edible fruits when ripe but the flowers must be hand pollinated for the full development. Leaves are narrow and oblong up to 2m long.
