Amaranthus Illumination will challenge any tropical flower for brilliant colour. Only growing to around 60cm with purple bronze foliage topped by scarlet and yellow flower bracts almost like a poinsettia (if that's a good thing!). Can be grown towards the front of a border in a sunny spot or as a lower layer in pots.
