Cannellini beans are a healthy source of protein and an excellent addition to any vegetable garden given an early start under glass before planting out. Commercially produced as a dried bean the plants themselves are easy to grow and can produce a large number of beans per bush. They are of a bush type needing a long growing season and grown like dwarf french beans with a little support using twigs etc. Leave the bean pods on the plants until dry before harvesting, best grown in a hot sunny location.
