Native to parts of south east Asia, the Sealing Wax palm is a slender, clumping palm with bright green stems and 'sealing wax red' crownshaft and leaf sheath - truly spectacular! Relatively easy to germinate, this palm requires tropical conditions with a minimum temperature of 10C for more mature specimens and higher temperatures when smaller. Needs as much heat as you can give it with a heated greenhouse or conservatory a must for the winter months.
