Native to the Solomon islands and Vanuatu, the ruffled fan palm can grow up to 3 metres high in its natural habitat but usually smaller in cultivation. It has magnificient deep green pleated fan like fronds from an early age. Not in the slightest bit hardy, it can be grown successfully in a greenhouse of conservatory or indoors as a house plant.
