One of the most exciting plants to come out of the Mexican mountains is this cool and wet hardy Agave montana. It forms a tight rosette of variably patterned and variably armed foliage of immense beauty, up to 1.5m across. Given a very well drained site in full sun this is one of the best Agaves to grow outside in the UK
